Fatma Al-Bader has founded Khatif Holding in May 2008 after 30 years experience in Banking, Real Estate development & Acquisition in Kuwait & abroad. Khatif is a USD 25 Mio acquisition Co. Through Khatif Holding, she acquired many companies in construction, industrial, IT, real estate services and water business in addition to establishing Khatif Consult, a leading financial advisor and restructuring Firm in Kuwait. In 2012, Khatif Holding acquired Arwa Gulf Company and in the last 10 years has established Aqua Cool Water Bottling Plant in Kuwait going from a provider of only 5 Gallons water size to a full bulk & small format PET product range & establishing Aqua Cool as one of the top companies providing bottled water in Kuwait. A graduate in Business Administration from the George Washington University, USA, with a double major in Finance and Economics, Al Bader has earlier worked with some of the leading names in banking and investment finance worldwide. She started her banking career at National Bank of Kuwait in 1992, and worked in Treasury division. In 1997 she joined The Bank of Kuwait & Middle East international credit and in 1998, Al Bader was recruited by Gulf Bank in their Corporate Banking Group and she escalated over 7 years to become Team Leader. She was hired by Citigroup Private Bank in 2004, based in London, as Vice President for the Gulf Region. In February 2006, she was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Mabanee Co. a Kuwaiti public listed company in Kuwait stock exchange - Real Estate sector & developer of the “Avenues Mall”. She was responsible for leading the company towards growth in revenue and shareholders value through restructuring and expansion, managing over 100 employees, It was under her stewardship that Mabanee finalized the first & second phase of ‘The Avenues’, the biggest shopping mall in Kuwait inaugurated by the Emir in March 2007. AlBader is certified by the Financial Services Authority in the UK (FSA) and is a member of Kuwait Supreme Council for Planning and Development.
